Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Peers:
You have no future in the business. Whenever I listen to you, it sounds like I'm listening to a garden variety pregame show.
How I responded:
If you're not ready for discouragement and you're not ready to ignore the negativity, then this isn't for you. You have to accept that and be committed to whatever it is that you want to do. In this industry, you have to build a thick skin in order to be successful.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
I struggled to find a way into this career. After looking around and getting rejected from a few places, a junior college gave me an opportunity.
