How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Friends:
When I started at Disney people would say “I can’t believe you work so early/ late, I’d quit my job” or “Ugh I can’t believ you had to deal with that at work- sounds miserable”
How I responded:
I’ve worked at all hours of the day: in at 4am, worked till 2am, worked overnight, etc. There was always a reason though. From working crazy hours and having to deal with crazy situations I learned so much. After 7 years at Disney I became someone that the staff knew they could count on and would have answers (or find them if I didn’t have the answer). Even after I left the company, I still had people asking my questions. Ignore unconstructive criticism. Work hard- it’ll pay off in the end!
