My path in life took a while to figure out

    My parents came over from Mexico to the United States.

    Then I developed a passion for reading.

    Believe in yourself. Value who you are and the experiences you bring to any conversation. Know that everything you have been through is unique and thus your voice matters because nobody else on this planet has experienced life the same way you have.

  • I grew up in Boyle Heights in gang and drug infested projects. I had parents who cared and pushed me to be better than I thought I could be. I also had teachers who believed in me and inspired me to go to college to achieve my full potential.
