My Day to Day

My day starts by working closely with clients to understand their data and project goals. I analyze the data to find narratives and insights, then develop strategies and designs to highlight key points. I manage project direction, client meetings, and technical requirements, while occasionally doing hands-on problem-solving. My work is fulfilling because it involves creating tools that drive impactful change, especially in science and conservation projects.

I've taken a lot of twists and turns

    I began my career journey at a small liberal arts school in Vermont, primarily focusing on science.

    After college, I spent a year teaching English in China which broadened my global perspective.

    I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to do, so I explored a variety of different pathways, including developing construction skills and teaching on a working tall ship in San Francisco, California.

    Drawn to the intersection of artistic and technical fields, I pursued data visualization and joined Periscope as an intern.

    Initially a data explorer at Periscope, I delved into client data to uncover narratives and insights, laying the groundwork for strategic design.

    After freelancing for a few years, I returned to Periscope in a senior role, helping to guide the data team.
